Vainqueur de la première soirée le vendredi puis troisième le samedi, Mike Larocco s’impose au classement final de l’Us Open de Las Vegas. Le pilote Honda empoche par la même occasion les 100 000 $ de la première place. Victime d’une chute lors de la première finale, Ricky Carmichael termine second et devance Tim Ferry, Chad Reed et Ivan Tedesco au classement général de l’épreuve. En 125cc, Broc Hepler triomphe dans la totalité des manches du week-end. Il s’impose devant Ryan Mills et Nick Adams. En 80cc le français Christophe Pourcel aurait pu devenir le premier français à s’imposer devant tous les espoirs américains du 80cc. En tête du classement provisoire au soir de la première journée, il va s’incliner face à Mike Alessi lors de l’ultime soirée. Au final, Christophe Pourcel se classe second derrière Alessi. Sa deuxième place reste tout de même un véritable exploit, bravo ! En catégorie 4T, c’est la canadien Marco Dubé qui s’impose devant Brock Sellards et Craig Decker.
