Husqvarna colours still dominating the Italian championship
Second round of the Italian Supermoto Championship and second success for the Husqvarna Cross 2R Team who won three on four rounds during last week end in Latina.
In the prestige class, the two teammates Gerlad Deleoine and Ivan Lazzarini alternated on the highest step of the podium giving no chances to their rivals. The Belgian and the Italian riders gave to the spectators an amazing show on their SMR 660; then Ivan, in race 2, was involved in a spectacular recover that bounced him from the 5th position to the top of the line leaving behind Delepine.
With the victory conquered in race 2, Lazzarini adds 18 points gap from the second in the provisional classification: Walter Bartolini.
In the sport class, after a pause from the races that lasted 5 months due to an operation to his knee, Davide Gozzini was back on his SMR 450, resulted at the end of the day on 4th and 5th positions in the two races respectively.
His new teammate for this year Eddy Seel won without a doubt race 1, showing to be even more comfortable with his SM R 450. In race 2 the Belgian rider was penalized by a bad start that did not permit him to go further than the 3rd place.
Seel is still the leader of the sport class with a huge gap from Balducci and Rispoli, a big surprise of this second round.
